The OBJ file format is a simple data format that represents 3D geometry alone - namely, the position of each vertex, the UV position of each texture coordinate vertex, vertex normals, and the faces that make each polygon defined as a list of vertices, and texture vertices. The file format is open and has been adopted by other 3D graphics application vendors. obj) is a geometry definition file format first developed by Wavefront Technologies for its Advanced Visualizer animation package. They include Entities, Nodes, Verticles, Planes, Leaves, Visibility, Faces, and Textures. BSP maps are made up of "lumps" that are chunks of information specified in the file header. This enables three-dimensional maps to be rendered faster. BSP means "Binary Space Partitioning", which is a method that breaks up complex polygons into convex sets. Several video games based on one of the Quake gaming engines (for example, Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Team Fortress, Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Condition-Zero, Portal, Call of Duty: World at War and others) map file with the layout information, elements, and resources for a level map.
